A Stór Mo Chroí - A Musical Gathering

€25Following the success of their sold-out shows in Dublin’s Christ Church Cathedral and The Sugar Club, the award winning members of the collective A Stór Mo Chroí are performing in St David’s Church, Naas this December.
Combined, Karan Casey, Lumiere (Éilís Kennedy, Pauline Scanlon), Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, John Spillane, Donogh Hennessy, Dónal O’Connor and John McSherry have been members of the most influential folk and traditional groups of the past fifteen years, including Solas, Lúnasa, Danú, Tamalin, At First Light, Nomos, Coolfin, Béal Tuinne, Lumiere and The Sharon Shannon Band.
Autumn 2015 saw Dónal O’Connor & John McSherry release an album with guitarist Sean Óg Graham and a new album from The Whileaways. They have toured extensively since with support from national radio airplay. As part of Tradfest Templebar in Janury 2016, Pauline, Muireann and John McSherry joined Dónal in St. Patrick’s Cathedral for a special concert and documentary film celebrating the music and life of Eithne Ní Uallacháin.
Pauline Scanlon released her first solo album in fourteen years in May of 2016 and celebrated with a successful nationwide tour.
Éilís Kennedy has recorded a new solo album in California, due for release shortly and performed with the Omaha Concert Orchestra.
John Spillane will present a new TV series on TG4 from September 4th. Na Bailéid will explore the stories behind some of Ireland’s most famous songs and
feature guest performances of each by a host of the nation’s favourite singers.
