An Exhibition celebrating Community, Environment and all things Dandelion
at
Kildare Town Library, Clare Gate Street, 4pm - 6pm, Thursday 9th March, 2017
The Dandy Lion is a mosaic project created by Create Together, a parents art group in Kildare Educate Together National School. The Dandelion is the logo of Kildare Educate Together which acknowledges the resilience, versatility and diversity of the plant as reflective of the school ethos. The Dandelion is also vital to the environment and in particular to endangered pollinators such as the bumble bee.
As part of their policy of inclusivity Create Together parents also reached out to the parents of Saint Bridget’s School in Kildare inviting them to take part in a print workshop which will form part of the exhibition. Opening night will include children’s workshops, film,storytelling and information on the amazing versatility of the common Dandelion.

The project was supported by the community education services of KWETB and is part of the Adult Learner Festival 2017, which runs for the week of 6th march .
