A New Dress For Brigid

Community Arts Facilitator Beth Murphy from Willow Wonder has been facilitating this community arts workshop since February 1st, with our Brideog and St Brigid crosses workshop.
This intergenerational group has been exploring the traditions, arts and crafts practices, sharing knowledge and skills passed down through generations in our communities now coming together in the community of Kildare town.
The group has brought in many local and ancient skills, and crafts such as crochet, embroidery, weaving, felting, sketching, clay and braiding. They have used material such as wool from the curragh sheep , tapestry , natural material such as grasses and willow and copper.
They will have an exhibition of their journey so far for Heritage week on
