Join us for a captivating evening exploring the rich history and unique sounds of Ireland’s national instrument, the harp. Renowned musician Paul Dooley will guide us through its evolution, from medieval times to the present day.
One of the leading exponents of the historical Irish harp, Paul plays a metal-strung harp in the authentic style—using fingernails for resonance and fingertip damping to shape the sound. With decades of research, performance, and harp-making experience, he brings the past to life through music and storytelling.

Join the Solas Bhríde Team for a special pilgrimage to the Curragh, a landscape rich in history and legend. This reflective journey invites you to connect with the land, the spirit of St. Brigid, and the timeless traditions of pilgrimage.
Important: Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear for soft or wet ground. 🌿☔
The walk will include some ancient and recent historical sites on the Curragh Plains.

Celebrate the feast of Imbolc and the arrival of Spring by creating your own St. Brigid’s Cross! Learn to craft either the traditional 4-arm cross or the ancient 3-arm cross, and take home a piece of Irish heritage.
A hands-on, creative experience to honour St. Brigid. 🌿✨

Join Monasterevin Parish for a Camino Walk in honour of St. Brigid, led by the Bishop. The 6km walk begins at St. Brigid’s Shrine in Mountrice, travelling through Umeras and along the Canal Blueway, ending with a Service of Light at St. Peter & Paul Church at 12:30 p.m.

The carvings, found at Kerdiffstown Park, intertwine Irish mythology, local folklore, and the recent history of Kerdiffstown landfill.

Join the Solas Bhríde Team for a special St. Brigid’s Cross Weaving Workshop, celebrating one of Ireland’s most enduring traditions. Participants will learn the art of cross weaving using rushes, a skill passed down through generations.
Traditionally woven on St. Brigid’s Eve, these crosses are placed in the home—often over the door—to bless and protect the household from fire and illness. After weaving your cross, enjoy a chat and a cup of tea with fellow participants.
