Maynooth Parade

Following two years without the Maynooth St. Patrick's Day Parade, we are delighted to announce that the 2022 event will be going ahead.

We are extremely excited for this year's event and we hope you are too.

Our theme this year is, "Love Our World". This theme encapsulates our dedication to sustainability, the environment and our togetherness as a Local and Global Community. It is also a time for us to appreciate our togetherness as a community throughout the Pandemic and to remember all of those that we lost.

Participants in the parade can take their own interpretation of the theme. This could be celebrating the global diversity of your school, organisation or business. It could also look at ways to reduce our carbon footprint and ways for us to show our World more love.

This year and we are inviting all the juvenile members of Maynooth GAA Club to come along and march in the parade😃
Please wear your club colours, add any St Patrick's Day glamour you wish and assemble at 10:30 at Greenfield Shopping Centre for the
Parade starts at 11am!!
After the parade, come along to the clubhouse where Brew Abu will be open all day, and the bar will have live traditional Irish music and entertainment from 7pm

Some Fun and things to try at home this St Particks Day

Here are few Irish blessings

May good luck be with you

Wherever you go,

and your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow.

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.

And for those of you who want to try a bit of Gaeilge:

May the road rise up to meet you. - Go n-éirí an bóthar leat /Guh ny-ree on boh-har lyat
May the wind always be at your back. - Go raibh an ghaoth go brách ag do chúl /Guh ruh on ghwee guh brawkh eeg duh khool
May the sun shine warm upon your face,- Go lonraí an ghrian go te ar d'aghaidh /Guh lun-ree on ghreen guh cheh air dye
and rains fall soft upon your fields. - Go dtite an bháisteach go mín ar do pháirceanna /Guh ditch-a on wah-shtukh guh meen air duh fawr-ken-na/
