Kildare Biodiversity Week 2019 Event - Swifts in Naas

May 14, 2019 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 pm

Wild Kildare in association with Naas Tidy Towns invite you to an outdoor talk and walk about the swift in the town. We will have a look at some of its nest sites and speak about this amazing bird whose life is spent almost entirely in the air. Later we will have a look at swift nest boxes that have been put up in Naas as part of the Kildare Swift nest box project.

The theme for Biodiversity Week 2019 is ‘Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health’.

Kildare Biodiversity Week has been organised to develop awareness of the importance of biodiversity and to better understand its value to the local, national and international communities.

The people of Kildare are invited to get out into Kildare’s Biodiversity, to visit Kildare wild spots, lakes, rivers, bogs, woodlands or to simply enjoy the biodiversity of their back garden.

All events listed here are free.

Children are welcome but should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Please dress suitably for the weather.

Dogs must be on leads.
