Kildare Biodiversity Week 2019 Event - Grand Canal Biodiversity Walk and Talk

Hosted by the Irish Peatland Conservation Council and supported by Waterways Ireland enjoy a walk along the banks of the Grand Canal and discover the variety of  biodiversity that call both the still water and canal banks their home.

The theme for Biodiversity Week 2019 is ‘Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health’.

Kildare Biodiversity Week has been organised to develop awareness of the importance of biodiversity and to better understand its value to the local, national and international communities.

The people of Kildare are invited to get out into Kildare’s Biodiversity, to visit Kildare wild spots, lakes, rivers, bogs, woodlands or to simply enjoy the biodiversity of their back garden.

Children are welcome but should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please dress suitably for the
weather. Dogs must be on leads
