Bunclody - Kilmyshall Drama Group performs “The Night Alive”
Wednesday 15th March – OPEN SECTION
by Conor McPherson
ABOUT THE PLAY:
The Night Alive is a play that explores the lives of a few lost souls...and a chance connection that may change their lives. Tommy is a man who has been drifting through life for the past two years after becoming estranged from his family. He lives in his uncle’s house, making ends meet through whatever crackpot schemes he and his friend Doc can concoct. When he encounters a young woman named Aimee, Tommy begins to feel a glimmer of hope that he can make something of his life. All of that may end, however, as a man from Aimee’s past makes an unwelcome appearance….
ABOUT THE GROUP:
The group was formed in 1998 and has been performing on the festival circuit ever since. In 2007 the group won the All-Ireland Confined Drama Final. Since then, they have appeared in the Open Finals in Athlone on six occasions, taking home many acting and stage Management awards
