The Stones of the Hollow Hill- Kerdiffstown Park
Inspired by the discovery of a Brigid’s Day solar alignment, artist James Winnett will give a presentation on the inspiration behind the work and the insights into the carving process of the stones.
The Stones of the Hollow Hill are a series of 18 carved stones by artist James Winnett that can be found at Kerdiffstown Park near Naas. The carvings tell a story that draws on Irish mythology, the folklore of the surrounding landscape and the recent history of Kerdiffstown landfill.
St. Brigid’s Camino Walk
Monasterevin Parish have organised a Camino Walk to commemorate Brigid. Starting at St. Brigid's Shine at Mountrice W34X529 on the Monasterevin - Rathangan Road (R414) at 11am on Monday 3rd February (walk is approx 6km). Car parking provided at Mountrice Cross. The walk will be led by the Bishop and will journey via Umeras then along Canal Blueway, finishing in St. Peter & Paul Church W34KD61 Monasterevin with a Service of Light at 12.30pm.

Exhibition: Gill Berry Art Award
Kildare Town Library is pleased to exhibit artwork from the 2024 KTCS Art Scholarship Award, which was first launched in 2021 in memory of local artist Gill Berry. The beautiful artwork that will be on display was created by students from Kildare Town Community School, who developed the work as part of their Leaving Certificate art project.
This exhibition is on display during library opening hours.
