Golf

Kildare is somewhat of a golfers paradise with its flat landscape and many mature woodlands which offer course designers a blank canvas to develop courses. With over 20 golf courses, Kildare proudly hosts both the oldest golf club, in the Royal Curragh Golf Club and, arguably the most famous club in the country, The K Club.  In recent years there have been many major golf competitions held in Kildare such as the 2006 Ryder Cup, the 2013 Irish Open and 2016 Women’s World Amateur Team Championships.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page for a listing of courses in the county.
