This year marks the second year of the ‘Dare to Visit Killdare’ Halloween Festival in Kildare Town. With activities and events for young and old, you are sure to find something to enjoy (or be terrified by?!) in Kildare this year.
Events run from 26th – 31st October, with Sunday being the big night in Market Square. There will be mask making workshops, and pumpkin carving or crafting workshops for all ages. Workshops are just €3 for Pumpkin Carving & €5 per person for Mask-Making and take place on Saturday 27th. Bookings are now being taken for workshops online at Eventbrite.ie and through The Hive.
The Silken Thomas Players present a performance of Dracula in the Old Courthouse. The show will run from Saturday 27th – Monday 29th at 8pm with a special performance on Tuesday 30th at 10:30pm. Tickets €10 and available here now.
On Sunday 28th, from 5pm on the Square there will be a Halloween movie for the kids followed by plenty of street entertainment from 6:30pm. This family friendly event finishes with a spooktacular fireworks display in Market Square at 7:45pm sharp. For those who want to hang around later into the night, an adults-only Halloween movie will be shown (only €5!) in Studio One from 9pm as will the second performance of Dracula in The Courthouse by the Silken Thomas Players.
