Come and join us on a fresh look around the town of Kildare, we will explore the sites under the theme of wellness. Beginning at the heritage centre we will talk about Kildare through the ages and look at some of the features left from our past that still relate to our lives today. This short walk will take in the playground in the town to encourage even the youngest members of our community to enjoy all the town has to offer in a new light. Times 11.00 am - 12.00 pm , 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm , 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

A Wellness Hike

Where: Starting at the Heritage Centre

A detailed look at the town of Kildare taking in the key sites that relate to wellness and community. This 6km walk will talk about the origins of the town, the people and communities that existed and what they left behind.

It will start at the heritage centre followed by the Grey abbey , Eco Garden , St Brigids Well , Black Abbey, the Solas Bríde centre and the Acorn Sculpture. Time: 12.00 pm  - 1.30 pm , 2.00 pm  - 3.30 pm

Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing, this walk will take over 1 hour to complete, this walk may not be suitable for young children.
