Kildare Biodiversity Week 2019 Event - Swift in Celbridge

Wild Kildare in association with Celbridge Tidy Towns invite you to an outdoor talk about the Swift. We will have a look at the Colony of this remarkable bird that spends only three months of the year in Ireland and what we are doing to save them in Celbridge as part of our Wild Kildare Swift Nest Box Project.

Meeting Point: Meet at the entrance to the Paint Factory.

The theme for Biodiversity Week 2019 is ‘Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health’.

Kildare Biodiversity Week has been organised to develop awareness of the importance of biodiversity and to better understand its value to the local, national and international communities.

The people of Kildare are invited to get out into Kildare’s Biodiversity, to visit Kildare wild spots, lakes, rivers, bogs, woodlands or to simply enjoy the biodiversity of their back garden.
