Getting to Kildare Town Heritage Centre & Tourism Information Point
Kildare Town is just 30 miles west of Irelands’ capital, Dublin, and is easily accessible by Road and Rail. The town and many others in the county are well served by public transport links from Dublin and other major destinations in Ireland.
By Car: Kildare Town is now easily accessible by car from the N7 or M7 Motorway.
From Dublin City – From the N7/M7, take the Kildare Town exit (Exit 13) which leads to a roundabout. Use the third exit to cross the bridge, then straight through the next two roundabouts. Follow the signs into Kildare Town. The Heritage Centre is located in Market Square.
From Dublin Airport – Leave the airport and head Southbound on the M50. Exit at Junction 9 for the N7/Cork,Limerick Road.
From the West/South-West – From southern and western Ireland take the Kildare Town exit (Exit 13) off the N7.
From the Railway Station it is a short walk (750 meters) to the centre of Town and the Market Square. If you intend visiting Kildare Village Outlet Shopping, you can avail of a regular bus service supplied by the Village from the Railway Station.
